Ferrari Luce: A First Look at Jony Ive’s Interior for Ferrari
Published Feb 18, 2026
Ferrari has recently shared an early look at the interior components of the upcoming Luce, the Scuderia’s first fully electric model. Designed by Jony Ive, Marc Newson and their studio LoveFrom, the interior blends high-resolution digital interfaces with machined aluminium controls and analogue instrumentation.
At the centre of the dashboard is a binnacle that houses essential information directly in the driver’s line of sight. Speed and battery level share a central dial that combines a mechanical needle with a digital display, while flanking gauges surface power output, regenerative braking and performance data. The three-spoke wheel, carved from a single piece of aluminium, carries distinct analogue control modules positioned for intuitive use.
Beyond the wheel, a pivoting control panel pairs precision-engineered toggles with a custom-shaped OLED touchscreen, framed in anodised aluminium and anchored by a sculptural handle. Even the startup sequence is choreographed. When the key docks, Ferrari yellow flows across the interface into the shifter, unlocking it in a fluid, mesmerizing interaction. It is a clear expression of Ive’s design philosophy translated into the automotive world, where clarity, tactility and emotional detail matter as much as performance.
The Ferrari Luce will be fully revealed in Maranello this May. For now, this first look suggests an electric future shaped as much by thoughtful design as by speed.
