Expressive Typographic Installations by Camilo Rojas
Published Apr 22, 2026
Miami-based designer and art director Camilo Rojas takes words off the page and places them firmly in space, where phrases glow in neon, stretch across walls or break into sculptural forms that invite interaction.
Typography is Camilo’s raw material, but his real subject is presence. A phrase like “The future is unknown” carries a different weight when some letters go dark and it becomes “The future is now.” Another installation, “What dreams are made of,” shifts perception as its letters cast physical shadows. By translating text into objects and light, Rojas pushes language to operate on two registers at once, readable and felt.
The range across mediums, from neon and foam sculpture to backlit signage and projection, points to a practice less concerned with any single technique than with the right one for each message. In his hands, text is never decoration. It’s the whole point.
