Expressive Portrait Paintings by Lim Nam Hun
Published Dec 10, 2019
South Korean fine artist Lim Nam Hun likes to communicate with others through his paintings by creating powerful portraits that bring the subject’s ‘true colors’ onto his canvas. From his website:
“We are always seeking and looking for beauty with thirst, even though we understand that attractive natural beauty, compressed chronical language, and life and death are contained all together in one space practically. Then what could be contained in there? There are too many things to understand for us to conclude as an extinction.
I yearned to express the beauty of the world in my work. But we face to many difficult situations, time to time. While I was working on project, my eyes were starting to concentrate for my surroundings in a moment and began to shine them in my eyes. It was a creation, the ‘human being’ that held everything of the world and language in themselves.”
