Genki Dual Wield Charging Dock for Switch 2 Review: Charge, Play & Display

Genki has been putting out some clever Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, and their new Dual Wield Joy-Con Charging Dock continues that trend.

This sleek, compact charging station doubles as a handy grip system for multiplayer sessions. If you’re always switching between handheld, docked, and tabletop setups, this dock makes it easy to keep your Joy-Cons charged, organized and instantly ready for a quick round of Mario Kart.

What’s in the box?

The Genki Dual Wield comes with a charging base, two detachable “Delta” charging grips, and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Everything you need to charge up to four Joy-Cons at once, with clever extras that make it more than just a charger.

Design & Build Quality

This dock looks great. It’s compact, angular and minimal – the type of accessory that works well on a desk or media center without screaming “gaming gear.” The build feels solid too, with smooth plastic throughout and satisfying magnetic connectors.

The standout design feature is a pair of triangular charging modules, which the company calls “Delta Grips” – that’s where you snap your JoyCons for charging, but they’re also detachable, so you can use them as full controllers.

The LED indicators on the base light up red while charging and green when each Joy-Con is full, a nice and simple visual cue that’s not too distracting.

Features

The clever thing about the Dual Wield station is that it isn’t just a charger, it’s also a modular grip system. The charging grips are magnetically attached to the base, and you can pop them off with the Joy-Cons still connected – just press the eject buttons and you’re good to go.

While the grips are fairly slim and not the most ergonomic for long sessions, they work great in a pinch, especially for quick multiplayer games or short casual sessions.

They also have USB-C passthrough at the top, allowing you to use a cable to keep playing while charging if you’re running low.

And if you already have the Genki Attack Vector grips, you’ll be happy to know that the Delta Grips are compatible – just snap them on for a more comfortable setup.

Pricing

The Genki Dual Wield Joy-Con Charging Dock is available on Genki’s website and Amazon for $39.99 USD, putting it right in the sweet spot for a high-quality 4-slot charging dock, and it gives you even more value with those detachable grips.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Charges up to 4 Joy-Cons simultaneously
  • Sleek, minimal design with compact footprint
  • LED indicators clearly show charge status
  • Detachable magnetic grips can be used as full controllers
  • USB-C passthrough for charging while playing
  • Compatible with other grip attachments (like the Genki Attack Vector)

Cons

  • Delta Grips are pretty flat, not ideal for longer sessions
  • No bundled wall adapter (USB cable only)

Verdict

The Genki Dual Wield Joy-Con Charging Dock is a smart, stylish way to keep your Switch 2 controllers topped up and ready for action, and the clever detachable Delta Grips add a ton of convenience to your setup.

At $39.99, you’re getting more than just a charger – this is a smart, versatile accessory that bridges the gap between storage, charging and gameplay.
