3 Easy-to-Install Screen Protectors for Nintendo Switch 2, Compared

Now that the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally here, it’s time to protect that fresh new screen.

We tested three of the most popular tempered glass screen protectors on the market, and the good news is: they’re all solid options. Each comes with a guiding frame to help you get a perfect fit (some more advanced than others), along with an installation kit (some more comprehensive than others). Here’s how they stack up.

JSAUX HD Tempered Glass Screen Protector

JSAUX keeps things simple and affordable. Available in 2 or 3-packs, this protector includes a basic guiding frame and a full installation kit with wet wipes, a microfiber cloth, a dust removal sticker and a squeegee. These protectors are only 0.31mm thick, have an anti-fingerprint coating and offer full screen coverage.

The frame helps with alignment, and installation was straightforward and bubble-free. The glass itself covers the entire screen perfectly, with a clean edge-to-edge fit.

For those who prefer a matte finish, JSAUX also offers an anti-glare version, so you’ve got a few choices available.

  • Price: $7.99 USD (2-pack) / $9.99 USD (3-pack)
  • Matte Anti-Glare Option: $9.99 USD (2-pack)
  • Best for: Budget-conscious buyers who want a no-fuss install and solid protection.

Savage Raven by Skull & Co. EZ-Install Screen Protector

Savage Raven makes the installation process even easier with its “EZ-Install” kit. The frame clips securely to the Switch 2 (with JoyCons removed), and the pull-tab mechanism takes care of the alignment for you. After waiting a few seconds, you just remove the frame and you’re done. The fit is flawless and ultra thin (only 0.26mm), and it also has an oleophobic coating to reduce fingerprints.

The kit includes disposable wet/dry wipes and a dust removal sticker, but there’s no microfiber cloth and squeegee here, which would have been useful for cleaning and bubble removal. We ended up borrowing a squeegee from one of the other kits to finish the application.

  • Price: $19.99 USD (2-pack)
  • Best for: Those who want a stress-free install and are willing to pay a bit more for it.

Genki Aegis Shield Screen Protector

Genki’s Aegis Shield is visually and functionally impressive. The alignment frame looks very sleek, showing an attention to detail that’s not very common in screen protector kits. It has a pull-tab mechanism just like Savage Raven’s, but the installation is slightly different: once the frame is on, you’ll have to swipe through a center cutout to start the adhesion process and then wait 30 seconds before removing the frame.

The kit includes everything you’d expect, screen wipes, a microfiber cloth, and a squeegee, but this one lacks a dust removal sticker, which can be quite useful during setup. That said, installation was super smooth and the final fit was perfect.

These protectors are only 0.33mm thick, fingerprint-resistant and crystal clear, so the vibrant colors on your Switch 2’s display still shine through.

  • Price: $19.99 USD (2-pack)
  • Best for: Anyone looking for an easy install and design-minded users who appreciate great build quality, even in an install frame.

Final thoughts

All three protectors do their job incredibly well, delivering a precise fit and solid protection for your new Switch 2. So ultimately your decision might come down to price and preference in installation style. JSAUX is a great budget pick, Savage Raven and Genki are both tied for ease of install, and Genki even adds a touch of design polish to the whole process. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Although we haven’t tested it yet, dbrand also offers a promising option with its “idiot-proof” PRISM® 2.0 screen protector. It has an alignment frame with a pull-tab (similar to Genki and Savage Raven’s kits) and uses a statically-charged peel layer to eliminate any trapped dust during installation. But at $34.95 USD for a 2-pack, it’s also the most expensive choice in the lineup.
