Discovery Pavilion: Interactive Art Installation by Ultra Combos
Published Feb 23, 2024
The “Discovery Pavilion” is a mesmerizing interactive art installation by Ultra Combos, a digital design team based in Taiwan.
This immersive experience was showcased at the Taichung World Flora Exposition and took visitors on an ecological journey along the Dajia river, from sea level to the peak of Mount Jade, the highest mountain in Taiwan. The exhibit vividly illustrated the various ecological transformations that unfold as one ascends from 0 to 3886 meters.
To enhance the sense of increasing altitude, several techniques were used in the installation, such as the color temperature, which changes from warm to cold in an attempt to visually represent the shift in body temperature.
