Digital Illustrations by Sam Spratt
Published Oct 18, 2012
Sam Spratt is a New York-based artist who was the first-ever staffed illustrator for Gawker Media. While working for the media giant, Sam created hundreds of on-demand illustrations and editorial packages, including over 400 pieces for Gizmodo.
“His imagery runs the gamut from fine-art portraiture, to fantastical creatures and surrealism, to classical treatments of web and pop culture, and is deeply integrated into the beat of The Internet.
His technique is built off of oil-painting training in classical/Baroque methods and translated to the fast-paced digital world.”
Check out his amazing technique on the video below.
