De Tomaso Pantera: An Italian Icon Reimagined by Daniel Crane
Published Oct 23, 2025
American designer Daniel Crane has reinterpreted the legendary 1971–75 De Tomaso Pantera with a sharp modern look. The original Italian sports car, known for its sharp wedge silhouette and muscular stance, has been reimagined with an aggressive, minimalist edge.
Daniel preserved the Pantera’s signature geometry but expanded its proportions, extending the fenders into oversized flares and stripping away smaller ornamental details to create a cleaner, more sculptural form. The brutalist yet elegant redesign honors the car’s heritage while embracing a contemporary aesthetic influenced by recent concept builds from Ash Thorp and Carlos Pecino.
Daniel modeled and shaded every element of the car from scratch in Blender 3D and then rendered everything in Cycles. The matte black finish and bold typographic livery complete the look, resulting in a stunning digital homage to one of the most iconic sports cars ever built.
