Daily Disruptions: New Collages by Ryota Kikuchi
Published Jun 13, 2025
Japanese art director and designer Ryota Kikuchi has a thing for visual mashups. Known for his striking daily collages, Ryota blends vintage photography, comic book fragments, hand-drawn elements and bold digital art into surreal, dynamic compositions that feel both nostalgic and contemporary.
We’ve shared his creations here in the past and there’s something really addictive about the rhythm of his work: a steady stream of wild, witty and chaotic pieces that reinterpret pop culture with a razor-sharp edge. While the imagery often draws from decades past, the energy is anything but retro. Each collage feels like a split-second collision between eras, mediums and moods.
Ryota’s commitment to creating a new piece almost every day keeps his portfolio in constant flux, full of surprise and spontaneity, and we can’t help but keep coming back for more. If you’d also like to dive deeper into his work, you can check out his full portfolio on Behance.
