Cubist Energy Meets Pop Culture in Fries Vansevenant’s Collages
Published Jan 13, 2026
Belgian designer and illustrator Fries Vansevenant slices pop culture icons into bold geometric shapes, then pieces them back together as striking collages. Familiar faces from movies, comics, music and TV are reimagined with sharp angles, tight layouts and cleverly cropped elements.
Across the ongoing series, arms, legs, props and facial details get split, stretched or amplified, giving the portraits a playful and modern cubist feel. The entire collection threads a neat line between wit, nostalgia and razor-sharp craft.
