“Colored Sand” is an entrancing digital art series crafted by Nomaal Studio, a France-based design and animation team. In this project, invisible fingers appear to glide through a surface of liquid sand, revealing soft rainbows of pastel-colored grains underneath. These stunning transitions are captured through mesmerizing 3D animations and carefully composed still frames.
To bring this intricate fluid simulation to life, the studio used Cinema 4D and Redshift, focusing on creating realistic particle effects that mimic the flow and movement of granular textures. The result is a fascinating dance of colors and forms that are playful and serene at the same time.
