Clouds With Character: The Emotional Art Toys of 2zakka
Published Jan 29, 2026
South Korean designer 2zakka creates fun art toys that embody our everyday feelings. His lineup revolves around a character called Emudy, a cloud-shaped figure designed as an emotional stand-in rather than just a mascot. Each version reflects a specific mood or state of mind, inspired by those moments when we’re feeling overwhelmed, introspective, restless or calm.
Emudy takes on many forms, from stormy clouds charged with lightning to sleepy ones munching on popcorn, as well as explorers, cowboys, pirates and even melting ice cream hybrids. The subtle changes in color, accessories and poses help tell the story, letting each figure suggest its own emotional context. This playful versatility means Emudy can shift through different feelings while still staying true to itself.
2zakka says that Emudy extends beyond the idea of an art toy into a broader emotional project. The character now lives across exhibitions, collaborations, merchandise and lifestyle objects, each format reinforcing the same idea. If you’d like to see more from the Emudy world, follow 2zakka on Instagram or browse his portfolio on Behance.
