Botanical Studies: Intricate Floral Illustrations by Lina Kusaite

Brussels-based illustrator and eco-artist Lina Kusaite creates layered botanical compositions that transform flowers, leaves and seed pods into intricate studies of color, texture and rhythm.

Lotus flowers, oversized leaves and other plant forms unfold across Lina’s compositions in dense arrangements of finely drawn lines. Some pieces feel almost textile-like in their repetition and pattern, while others become more abstract, with petals and foliage gathering into elaborate organic structures.

Plants have been central to Lina’s wider practice for years. Alongside editorial illustration, workshops and environmental research projects, she has created large-scale botanical artworks for hotels, restaurants and private interiors around the world. Her work has appeared in spaces across Beijing, Shenzhen, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Rotterdam, extending the delicate detail of her drawings into an architectural scale.
