Architectural Precision: The Alto Identity by Hardy Branding
Published Mar 6, 2026
Moscow-based studio Hardy Branding developed this sharp identity for Alto, a Washington-based architectural studio that places technology at the center of its process.
The brand is developed around a simple symbol, an arched form that can be interpreted as a mountain peak, a structural arch, and an upward vector. The name, which means high, reinforces that idea. It also works as an acronym for “architecture, living, technology, optimism.” A palette of mint green and cool grays, often applied through soft ambient glows, echoes the way light moves through a space. The studio applies the system cohesively across books, signage, apparel and stationery, using the arch and luminous gradients as constants throughout.
