Adorable Wooden Creations by Popoke
Published May 4, 2023
Popoke is a carpentry studio based in Brazil that creates unique and charming wooden toys. From UFOs to little robots and monsters, their woodwork is full of beauty and detail.
The studio was founded in 2019 by creative couple Eduardo Castanheira and Natália Rocha when they started repurposing discarded pieces of wood to produce fun wooden objects.
“Art toys allow us to discover new creative spaces, explore galaxies and ancient civilizations, and let our imagination soar with rockets, robots, monsters, and aliens.”
For those interested in learning how to make their own wooden art toys, Popoke has an online course available at Domestika called “Playful Woodworking: Create Wooden Art Toys”. This course covers everything from initial sketches and wood selection to cutting techniques and how to apply the finishing touches.
If you’re intrigued by the creativity and craftsmanship of Popoke, you can find more beautiful pieces in their portfolio or follow them on Instagram for their latest updates.
