Accidental Landscapes: Mohammad Noureddini’s Poetic Worlds of Waste
Published Sep 9, 2025
Accidental Landscapes is a new series of digital paintings and mixed-media illustrations by Cambridge-based visual artist Mohammad Noureddini, transforming discarded materials into poetic, dreamlike terrains.
Piles of rubbish, broken scaffolds, and crumpled plastic sheeting become the foundation for surreal compositions that blur the line between beauty and decay. By isolating the textures, forms, and unexpected harmonies within waste, Mohammad reframes what many might otherwise overlook or dismiss. His painterly use of light and color adds a unique atmosphere to each piece, part memory, part ecological warning.
Visually intriguing and conceptually confronting, the series asks us to consider what our trash says about us, and how much space it occupies in both our environment and our collective psyche.
You can explore more of Mohammad Noureddini’s work on his website, Instagram and ArtStation.
