A Drop in the Bucket: Striking Floral Swirls by Caravane
Published Nov 4, 2025
Montréal-based creative duo Caravane turns a humble object into a portal of swirling color in A Drop in the Bucket, a mesmerizing series of floral photographs. Known for their commitment to in-camera effects, the pair crafts stunning compositions without relying on CGI or AI.
The collection captures blooms and petals spiraling in chromatic whirlpools, their reflections and distortions created inside a mirrored cylinder filled with water. The result is a visual illusion that feels both cosmic and painterly. The last two behind-the-scenes shots seen here reveal the duo’s playful ingenuity: a simple plastic bucket lined with reflective material becomes the stage for their optical experiments.
You can discover more of Caravane’s visually inventive work on their website, Behance and Instagram.
