65 Degrees North: Gorgeous Photos by Maxime Vantorre
Published Nov 1, 2024
French photographer and art director Maxime Vantorre captured the beauty of solitude in “65° North,” a stunning series that takes us on a trip through the ethereal landscapes of Iceland.
To get these breathtaking shots, Maxime embarked on a month-long expedition across Iceland, exploring iconic locations like Reykjavik, Akureyri, Godafoss, Myvatn, Stykkishólmur and Ólafsvík.
Throughout the journey, his camera was mainly focused on the serene connection between isolated architectural structures and the wild, untamed environments of Iceland. The sense of isolation and introspection that runs through the whole series is further intensified by the absence of people in Maxime’s compositions.
