Vertical Shift: Photos by Silvio Zangarini
Published Aug 18, 2015
Mind-bending vertical panoramas captured by Italian photographer Silvio Zangarini.
“The series was originally meant to be simply a practical and visual exercise to make distortions of the reality. But while I was exploring the medium, I was captured into a dialogue with the architectures my camera could portray, and I intended to multiply these with my artistic work. Without being aware of that, I became a contemporary Escher , and got fascinated by the infinite directions of these staircases. Perhaps, I got even lost like Alice in the Wonderland wondering where these visual perspectives could lead.”
— Silvio Zangarini
