The Korean Film Festival Branding by Il-Ho
Published Jan 5, 2016
Vibrant identity and collateral for the Korean Film Festival, created by freelance designer Il-Ho.
“The motto of the third Project K – The Korean Film Festival was ‘Play’. Therefore Korean traditional games were a new addition to the program. People could learn how to play Gonggi, Tuho, Ddakji, Jegichagi and Yutnori.
All five games have one thing in common – all playthings are flying in the air by throwing, kicking or flipping. The state of flying/motion has been captured as key visuals. The typography corresponds with the key visuals, breaking out of its form and resembling film reels.”
