National Historical Centers Day Branding by Another Collective
Published Sep 16, 2015
Great visual identity produced for the “National Historical Centers Day” in Portugal by local design studio Another Collective.
“The event marking the ‘National Historical Centers Day’ tries to attract both senior and younger audiences, and it is important to have a graphical representation of the historic center of Porto.
Under these assumptions, we tried to address the dichotomy between the modern and the classic, the modernity without disdain for the old, using the typographic game from a serif font and a non-serif, which identifies perfectly with the concept of the event. A traditionally dark mark around the buildings that comprise the NHCD, is the result of the colors used: the option for neutral colors and the gold, giving it a slightly classic touch.”
