Macro Reef Dwellers: Photo Series by Felix Salazar
Published Feb 6, 2013
“Macro Reef Dwellers” is an awe-inspiring series by California-based photographer celebrating the beautiful colours and textures of underwater corals.
“As we can see from Salazar’s spectacular macro photography, the deep sea is filled with blues, reds, greens, pinks, and purples. In addition to the vibrant hues that these corals present, there’s also a beautiful texture to each one that draws the eye. Whether they’re bubbling polyps like beads of a juicy fruit or a blooming, feathery bouquet of flowers, the photographer captures their intriguing surfaces, leaving us awe-inspired. It’s hard to believe that some of these images are actually photographs.”
